Bon Jovi is your Connector of the Day.

The band's lead singer and founder Jon Bon Jovi, was born on March 2, 1962 in Sayreville, New Jersey.

From an early age, Jon showed an early appreciation for music and would regularly skip school to take part in musical activities.

However, Jon Bon Jovi is most well-known for his involvement with the group Bon Jovi with other band members, Richie Sambora, Tico Torres and David Bryan.

The group formed in 1983 and the band's members are remained relatively the same over the past 27 years.

The group's first album was called "Bon Jovi" and was released in 1984. In the following years, the band has recorded more than ten studio albums.

Some of their most memorable songs include "Living on a Prayer," "Bed of Roses," "It's my Life" and "Have a Nice Day."

Here's your chance to ask all four members of Bon Jovi a question. .

Jon, if you had a chance to travel through time, would you rather go back in time and relive a moment (what moment would that be), or would you go to the future (what year?)?

If you were able to save Elvis or Lennon, which one you would save?

I'm writing from San Antonio Texas, huge football fan, and thanks to you, I started watching arena football even drove up to Austin to see the souls and wranglers play, I saw how you really want to be owner of NFL team, are you closer now to returning to football? either NFL or arena? and the usual question, when are you bringing the Bon Jovi machine back to San Antonio? Your last visit was in 1989. keep doing your thing, very inspiring. (good music too)

Hello John Francis Bongiovi, Junior(Jon Bon Jovi) and CNN friends,

I would like an answer from John Francis Bongiovi, Junior on the following questions:
    – How do you manage your music career with your personal life as a father and a husband?
    – How will the Philadelphia Soul, which you own, win the ArenaBowl of the Arena Football League(AFL) in 2011?
    – WHO will win the South Africa World Cup according to you as an Italian American?
    – What can we expect from you in 2010?
    – How are you inspiring people all over the world to make our world a Better Healthier and Beautiful Place?

I am awaiting John Francis Bongiovi, Junior’s replies.

    My question is:
A lot of fans of bon jovi think, that you (jon), is trying to be boss 100%! I know you are the leader, but we think that you don't let the boys to participate as they used to do. Now only you appear in the video, you don't want Hugh to appear in the video at all(we know that he work for you), but still we want to see a band. And the video when were beautifully is ok, but with that song it's the worst combination ever!

    Hey Jon!

I was at all three Meadowlands shows last week and have to say after 23 years and upwards of 50 shows, that is the best I have ever seen the band. You all came out each night and gave an amazing show!Which leads to my question: I see the band multiple shows on any given tour and sometimes it seems you guys are just goin through the motions and then other times. like last week, you come out and just kill it! What makes the difference?

Thanks for 23 years of awesome music and good times!

First of all, thank you for the awesome recent concerts in Fargo and St. Paul. We had a blast. You guys put ont he best concerts! Even though the crowds at both of the concerts I went to were great, I did notice a difference in energy. Do you notice differences around the country (or the world) in the crowds? Hi Jon,

Thanks for the FANTASTIC show on May 29th, it was my 13th time seeing you guys live and was the best show I've personally seen in probably 7 years. You have given me so many great memories over the years and just saying the words Thank You is not enough.

What kind of advise would you give to people regarding business and finance, since you have obviously achieved the elusive American Dream, and unlike many other people in the music industry, your money has not gone up your nose, or to previous spouses. So how does the Bon Jovi business model differ (or does it?) and could this business model be used by other industries to improve their bottom line?

    Thanks for your time,

Just wondering if you read those sheets personally and, if so, what were your thoughts at the answers that were given. How many of the answers surprised you? How many of the answers will never be played again? How many of the answers just might show up in future setlists?

My name is Leticia and I'm from Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Bon Jovi have been criticized for their expensive ticket prices in this tour. And this is not coming from the press or usual critics, this is coming from their loyal fan base around the globe. The result is that most of the die hard fans who would like to attend multiple concerts will end up in cheap seats, far from the stage. Or will have to choose only 1 concert to attend for the whole tour and will pay for a very expensive floor seat.

My question to Jon is: Are you taking this feedback from the fans in consideration? Do you plan to make changes regarding this issue for the next legs of the tour, since you'll be performing in 35 countries until 2011?

And just for the record, I've been a fan for more than 17 years and traveled the world to see the band. Considering my Brazilian currency, I'll pay 2 times for every ticket if you convert the price to U$ dollars. So, as much as I love this band and their music, it's been really difficult to keep attending the shows.

    Hey Jon,
I have really enjoyed the 5 shows I have gone to so far this tour and looking forward to Saratoga Springs in July. You and the guys have been on fire every show I have seen so far. I also really like buying DVDs of shows so that I can watch them during non tour time. So, question is are there any plans of DVD from this tour as of yet, and have you looked into the option of fans being able to buy downloads of the shows they actually go to? I know there would be a great demand for that, especially from my fellow backstage members. Keep up the good work and see you July 11th

How do you cope with being away from your wife and kids while you're on the road for extended periods of time? I know you have joked that the secret to your successful marriage has been being away from home, but that's got to be difficult to not be with your loved ones for weeks on end. How do you explain those long absences to your kids? I can't imagine it's easy for you or them.

    Hi Jon,

I just wanted to say that I have been a fan of the band for the past 14+ years or so now, which works out to about 65% of my life, as i am only 24. So I just want to say thanks for all the great music and shows that have been a part of my life from the very highs, to the very lows, I really do associate each momentous time of my life with one of your songs, a bit sad, I know, but true.

However, my only regret in regards to the band, is that I was never able to see you on the These Days tour as I was only about 12 and no one would take me, as it was out of our budget at the time. So I am just wondering if it would be possible for you to play a couple of These Days songs on the 13th June? As, even though i have been fortunate enough to have heard These Days and Diamond Ring played before, I have never witnessed any other songs from the album, which coloured my entire teenage years, played live, (Hey God in particular).

Either way, I look forward to seeing you and the band once again on the 13th and singing myself horse once again!

    2) How has your music evolved since you first began playing music together?

3)What has been your biggest challenge as a band?

and number 4) If this is going to be on video can you say hello to me!! lol

Having gone to a couple concerts this tour, it seems like aside from a couple songs the set lists are the same, you have lost the spontaneity and the surprises we used to get, also when the front rows that before went to the fans that waited on line for hrs and hrs, now go to the people with more $$, everything looks more and more like business and less and less like love of the music.

Are you aware of the old fan's disappointment? I hope you change things.

I was at the Meadowlands on Wednesday and Thursday 5/26/10 5/27/10. Towards the end of Wednesday's show it appeared that your left hand was hurt. Are you injured?

You usually end tours at this time and take the summer off to spend time with the family. What is the reason for the length of this tour? (Not that I'm complaining!) Does it have to do with getting nominated to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame? (the lack of Bon Jovi being nominated is a traversty!!) Will you end the tour in Jersey?

Do you and your family miss living in NJ? It must be hard on the kids not to have a 'backyard' (and yours is some 'yard'!) or have they all adjusted to city life?

Hi Jon, I have been a fan since Runaway hit the airwaves. I think you have become one of the most popular bands in the world and your combined talents are unrivelled. My question is aimed more towards David but it does affect the entire group. David is doing very well with his foray into musical theater and I have to ask....has he and Joe DiPietro considered writing a play/musical revolving around the music of Bon Jovi. ABBA,s music was used in the play and movie Momma Mia and was wildly successful. I truly believe that David and Joe can come up with something to top that. What do you think??? Please pass this on to David to consider. All the best,Slusheee .BSJBJFC

Hi Jon! I want to start out by letting you know you are my heart & soul. You are a part of my life everyday. I don't know if you would remember me but, I had my dream of my life come true.....I met you in NYC- I filmed the Bounce commercial with you at MTV studios. The day my life changed and my dream came true. I was the blonde girl who held the door open as you got into the limo. I chatted with you, you kissed my hands, and I was the one lucky person to get a picture with you- my pride and joy.......I wasn't supposed to even talk to you let alone get a picture, but thanks to the security on set I DID!!!! Then I was also part of your Misunderstood music video- the most unbelievable experience. Jon, I am not just any old fan, I am the one.....I would die for you. I have been in love with Bon Jovi since I was 7, I am now 26. You are not like anyone else in the world, what you do for me and millions of other fans is just to wonderful for words & I want to thank you. I wish I could do some more work with you. I know you would remember me if you saw me beause you saw me at a few shows after I met you and you saluted me!!!!!!!!! I know this is supposed to be a question and not a life story about me and my love for you, but I must get through to you 🙂 I love you. Well, I will ask you a question even though I know pretty much everything I need to know; Jon, what is your favorite song that you wrote and why?
I look forward to my response. Thank you for being you!! ❤

Faithful fan club fans pay thousands of dollars to see your show. They continue to want more and more and you give. Is this the last tour for Bon Jovi? Seems like full circle has come for you and the band. Is this a tour for some of the ludacris items that need to be meant to get a nomination from the Rock-n-Roll hall of fame? You guys should have been nominated last year. The press, critics, etc. have their heads up their ass. I don't expect an answer because I know you have a very hectic life, I do however, wish you luck and rest. ( I went to the three shows at the New Meadowlands Stadium in May. Thank you for each night and the sound check).

    Hi Jon –

I've been to 6 shows on the Circle Tour with 5 more coming up in 2010 – the best tour so far! The most recent were the 3 at NMS. I am dumbfounded by the energy level by all of the Jovi guys -I get exhausted just singing and dancing along with you! You're obviously a Type A personality (or should I say Type A++!). You must have an identical twin! Seriously, how do you manage to juggle all that you do and still find family time? I know there have been many times you have missed family events over the years; this is supposed to be the longest tour yet. Now that all of you are dads, are you at a place where you are able to call the shots and get some decent down time between shows? And secondly, please give a shout out to your brother Matt – he does an amazing job for the fan club. I hope you know how lucky you are to have him as part of your organization. Looking forward to the next shows . . . into 2011! So glad you're all still around all these years later – a testament to both the band's talent as musicians, performers and writers, and constant evolution of your music.

    Hi Jon,
if you could choose the setlist without thinking about what the audience would like to hear, which songs would you choose?
Is there one song you don't wanna play anymore but you play it because the audience wants to hear it?
Can't wait to see you in Scheveningen tomorrow and in London on June 17th!

I have been to five shows so far this tour and have 2 more to go. The set lists I've heard have been phenomenal. So glad I was at both Hawaii shows and got to hear the older songs. Do you still plan on doing some of the older stuff or have you stopped playing those songs again? To hear Roulette, Shot Through The Heart, Tokyo Road, Only Lonely and Get Ready between 2 shows was awesome! I've been a fan since I heard Prayer and love hearing the variety of songs at your shows.

Hi Jon, fan from the UK here.
I'd like to ask you – do you see/recognise faces when you look out into the audience? My friend is convinced you looked right at her at the Coventry show last tour. I reckon you wouldn't be able to see individual faces & she's dreaming lol
Secondly, if fans send gifts to you via the fanclub or BonJovi.com etc, do you actually see or receive any of them, or do they just get dealt with by Agency people and you don't even see them?
Looking forward to the O2 on June 26th, I've sold a ton of stuff on ebay and worked a LOT of overtime hours to pay for those tickets!

Hi Jon, this tour the band are on fire! You're vocals have been much better than the last few tours and you look like you're having fun! The only problem I have is the tickets costing a bomb and the setlists not gettig changed much. At the start of the tour you said you would play more stuff from the early days, but you haven't for a while! What happened? Also, will you be planning on changing the prices? If they stay like this for 2011, then I really don't think I can go as I can't afford it and it's killing me not going to see you guys!
Keep it up, though! You're still rocking!

Hi Jon, I want to know why in the song "Right Side of Wrong" the phrase flip-flops in the chorus to "wrong side of right". Was there some particular reason why it changed? I expect you're going to say it's just to make the rhyme scheme work, but it seems to me that the right side of wrong and the wrong side of right are two different things, morally speaking, and since the song is about moral choices maybe you meant something by it.

Thanks for the chance, I've wanted to ask you that question since 2002.

It would have to be changed up a little bit Im sure to follow a schedule or time frame, but I think that would be cool. You would be surprised by the variety of songs we pick. I loved your set and stage setup at the new meadowlands as I always do. No band ever could put on a show like you guys do. You teased us with shout. I was at the New Meadowlands Stadium for all 3 shows you just performed. They were all great shows but the last show was REALLY SPECIAL. The setlist was AWESOME! You did such a variety of songs like Living In Sin, I'd Die For You, In These Arms, Just Older and Dry County Why does it seem that when you perform in Europe they get more rarities than the US? I know many people here in the US would love to hear some of the songs you do in Europe, like Something To Believe In, Damned, etc. Please consider some of those at your future shows in the US. I've been a huge fan since the beginning and have seen concert prices rise higher and higher. This year's tour seems to be astronomically high. My question(s):

    1. How are prices set for concerts? Is that the band's call, promoters, or arenas?
    2. With the merger of Ticketmaster and Live Nation, how do you think prices of concert tickets will be effected in the future?

I don't have any questions for you, because I think i know just about everything there is to know about you. I just wanted to say that I think your a great role model, and inspiration to the world. You make the most of your life, and you do it with style and class. You have achieved so much in your life, and I know there is still so much more to see from you. In 2010 you managed to write a book, make a documentary, write a new album, and help many less fortunate people through your JBJ Soul Foundation, not to mention all the other little bits and pieces.
I think your amazing, and i'm so proud of everything you do. You have, over the years become a huge part of my life, and everything I am. I hope life always continues to be good to you, and I wish you the worlds luck in everything you set out to do.

I know most of these were performed very early in the tour and were never heard from again (except for "Hardest", which was featured via a rehearsal audio clip on the BJ website but never actually played live – yet!) and I personally thought that stuff was really cool to set this tour apart from others not toi mention to acknowledge the great early days of the band !

Hope you Stay well & happy & healthy,
See you out there on the road 🙂

Can you lower your stage a bit for the stadium shows? I want to be able to see you really good from the front row at the Winnipeg Concert.

Jon – what or who inspired the song "Kidnap an Angel"? The song makes me cry everytime I hear it. As I am sure it does for anyone who has ever had a loved one in the hospital.

Did you know that some of your biggest fans are in Peace Corps Romania??? And what do you do to keep in touch with your friends and family while you are on the road? Or do you just live? 🙂

Jon has mentioned before that his kids are showing alittle interest in making music. David, how about your kids? Richie, has Ava shown any interest? Tico's boy is alittle young, but what do you think, Tico, do we have another musician from the Torres family? Any of these kids taking lessons?

I have been a fan of the music for decades...you are all fantastic, but I am also impressed by the wonderful things that each of you has accomplished in addition to being Bon Jovi.

Since I spend my own career working with and helping others, I am most interested in the activities that you engage in to give back to others. Out of all of the things you have done to volunteer and give back, what moment stands out as most meaningful?

    Thanks,

    Another question regarding ticket prices:

I find it hard to believe that you guys do not know how much your tickets are selling for. Before you went with AEG Live the ticket prices for a Bon Jovi show were reasonable, allowing people to go along to the shows with their families and be able to go to more than one show. Then came all the Gold Circle stuff, but even then (in comparison to now) that kind of ticket was "only" £50 – not the astronomical price that they are today where only those with a larger disposable income can afford to have the priviledge of being near the front!

In the past year or two metal giants such as AC/DC and Metallica have toured and they have charged £30-£35 for their tickets. You guys really need to get your act together before you alienate the fans that have stuck by you for years.

When you write your FINE music, do you take into consideration how the songs will play out live or do you just write the songs and then allow them to naturally progress into what they have become in the concert scenario?

The perfect example would be in "Whole Lot Of Leavin'" when you ask the question "Do we got it anymore?...." then allow thousands of fans to answer with their blood curdling screams. Same thing with "Blood on Blood"..."Just a singer in a long haired rock & roll band...." C'mon, that's GENIUS!

You play off each other so well and allow the fans to participate in every show. This I believe is what makes Bon Jovi the greatest live Rock & Roll band EVER and why your fans come to see you each and every opportunity they can. That said, do you notice that night after night the same faces are staring right back at you...smiling, singing and dancing? You do have the most loyal fans in the world! =)

Anyway, thanks for the opportunity to ask a couple questions. Thanks for the past 25+ years and I'm definitely looking forward to many more years of Bon Jovi music on the radio.

    All the best,
    Ellen

    Jon,

When you're a touring band usually undergo rapid changes in time zone (jet lag) and sudden fluctuations in temperature. How do you handle that?

Do you use web cameras to stay in touch with his family while on tour?

I've seen you at o2 8th and 11th.amazing,unforgettable experience.I'm a fan since I was 14 (36 now).Hoping to get another ticket for next week. Question why tickets are so expensive?must pay over 100£ to get floor seats not really close to stage. not every fan can afford it.who set up these prices? Question 2 – when on stage do you enjoy performing big all time hits when getting great reaction from audience or prefer singing new material? Love you lot-thank you for all years being with us and hoping for more 🙂

    Hello Jon,

Last time you stayed in London for a longer Period of time (during the filming of "The leading man") you wrote a solo record.

Is there any chance this will happen again with your residency in London?

    Let it rock!
