Zeal for zombies

What’s the fascination with zombies?  I just don’t get it.  But then, who cares what I think because I’m very definitely in the minority here. It seems the world of the living is fascinated by the living dead. From movies, to console games, books and even jobs (yes, jobs - record numbers of people recently applied for a $50,000-a-year job performing the role of a zombie at a London tourist spot), zombies are big business.

Why, oh why? It’s been 40 years since George A. Romero’s 1968 film "Night of the Living Dead," and grown men (and women I assume) are still forking out good money on horror fiction designed to scare the living daylights of us!  Isn’t the world bad enough already?

Come on -– I know you’re out there. Convince me I’m wrong. Convince me I’m missing out.

Email me at connecttheworld@cnn.com or leave a reply below.  As ever I’ll read out as many of your thoughts on the show tonight.
