The actor best known for his portrayal of suave British spy James Bond, Roger Moore is leading the fight against the production of a food stuff his movie alter ego would have loved to accompany his favorite tipple, a Martini - shaken not stirred of course.

Moore, who appeared in seven Bond movies from 1973 to 1985, is leading the fight against foie gras, which is made from the enlarged liver of a duck or goose.
According to campaign group People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), the animals involved in the process are force-fed for the pate, and have branded the process "naked cruelty."
It is the latest in a long line of causes the actor, who became an international superstar after appearing in cult series The Saint, has become involved with.
Formally trained as an actor, Moore's interpretation of the Bond role saw him portray the 007 character as a playboy with a light touch.
However his onscreen presence belies a serious side to his character. For almost a quarter of a century he has been a goodwill ambassador for UNICEF.
What do you want to ask Roger? Send us your questions and we'll put them to him during the show on Wednesday.
Looking at how James Bond deals with women in the movies, what is the opionion of Roger Moor on violence against women and what do you think the governement should do aabout it.
Out of all the Bond gadgets, which was your favourite?
Roger,
Many celebrities, play dual role – one of parading the red carpets and the other the humanitarian activities in life and both see them in the limelight. You however, have kept your commitment to UNICEF semi private, how have you been able to do that and why?
Thanks

Question for Roger Moore: how did the name Bond or code (007) come
about?
Lucky
Stuttgart, Germany.
Dear Roger,
Apart from your own portrayal of Bond, who would you choose as your favourite out of all the other actors that have played the role and why ?
Many thanks
Adrian Moore
Dear Roger Moore,
According to you, who is the most "HATED" James Bond villain?
Of all the present day actors, who would you like to see portraying James Bond?
I am an avid fan of Bond Film from Dr. No to the latest of Daniel Craig.
Moore's interest in preventing cruelty to animals however, must be coupled with reforestation to enrich earth's vegetation, thereby animals can live co-equal with plants that provide oxygen to both man and animal.
Question: Can Mr. Moore possibly campaign for re-vegetating the earth at the same time preserving animal life on earth?
tankpicker
You were my favorite Bond mainly because of the sense of humor you played him with. Do you still do any acting today or are you retired?
I was wondering about his view on gun laws. As Bond he has his "PPK" for "work purposes", yet as an individual how does he view guns and gun laws. Not just the U.S. but other countries... UK and even Sweden?
Many thanks /Teri
Sir Roger,
In your acting career as well as your social and private life, you seem to have no faults. You gotta be hiding something. What is your biggest fault? What is your biggest weakness? – a fan for almost 4 decades
What's life really like outside Bond?
Have you ever come across a MI6 or MI5 agent who initially was inspired by you to seek employment in her majesty's service?
Best regards
Andreas

What is the single most memorable thing you've seen or learnt working at UNICEF?
Roger,
Will you agree that foie gras tastes really good?
What are you passionate about today?
Mr. Moore,
So did women fall to your feet easily in your real life as they did when you were the charming James Bond?
Roger,
What first led you to become a goodwill ambassador for UNICEF and as an englishman, what are your thoughts on England lifting the World Cup next year in South Africa.
Regards,
Roger Moore is the most handsome of all the actors who portrayed James Bond. It is said that to see him in person off-screen he was really a remarkably handsome man. Oh, yes – and a good comic actor he would have made too!
I wish Mr. Moore continued success in whatever he undertakes in the future.
Jennifer
Hello Roger Moore,
Did your knowledge of UNICEF begin by going door to door as a boy to collect donations?
Sincerely,
Katherine
p.s. Loved you as 007!
Who was your favorite "Bond Girl" and why?
Roger Moore is the best Bond so far because he naturally look like a bond besides his attitude its awesome, he is my all time favourite and i grew up watching his bond movies
Was Roger really jumping over those crocodiles? Or did he have a stunt man performing many stunts on his behalfF
Sir. Roger, I just want to know which was your most embarrassing moment during the filming of Bond movies?
Do you think that in todays world, with large movements of ethnic groups to new neighbourhoods, the world is at last ready for a non white Bond?
Dear Roger,
Whats the real life role of an M15 , M16, Russian secret police & CI A in todays world of "INTERNATIONAL TERRORISM" after tearing of the "IRON CURTAIN" on which Ian.Fleming 's "James Bond Films "are enacted.
Hello Sir Roger Moore,
What do you think about the current James Bond ? My oppinion about the present James Bond is that he is indeed more rugged but he does not have the same gentlemancy and womanizer factor then yourself. Another point is the originality of the gadgetery and music, something i really miss in the present James Bond Movies.
Kind Regards,
Vincent Rogiest
Big fan of Sir Roger Moore and Sir Sean Connery
Do you think that the present day world needs its own James Bond in the light of all the terrorism going on?

Roger, I'd be interested to understand your reaction to questions as from Prince T. He asks if you have anything to say about violence towards women and seems to compare your character in James Bond with someone who mistreats women.
My opinion is that the two points are completely and entirely separate, and in fact Prince T's question belies a confusion between the film world and the real world. A movie is able to depict anything that it needs to to tell a story, whether good or bad, and shouldn't be judged as having to depict a morally 'acceptable' character or outcome. This is especially true when considering that what IS morally 'acceptable' is entirely subjective, and of course changes over time. There is a massive difference between 1970's England, which was a miserable place in a miserable time, and the hugely over the top political correctness of 2009's USA.
The question that Prince T raises is relevant, but to me shouldn't be comparing a character from a movie from a different time that is supposed to show a galavanting playboy acting out a job which was every schoolboy's fantasy, especially when the schoolboys were growing up in a dreary, bankrupt country – the whole point was to get out of the real world and enter a world where anything was possible. To judge that film now on anyone's self-proclaimed current standards seems to be pandering to the latest cliche of the 'moral majority'. If this is allowed to continue to perpetuate then anything that used to be pure fun becomes a target that we, the paying audience, are not supposed to enjoy any longer – and what's the point in making Bond movies if that's the case?
I'd be interested to hear your thoughts on this.
which do u think holds true to the james bond character; the old James Bond with all the gadgetry he could obtain from Q (which he later destroyed) or the all- new devil-may-care Bond who's more intent on destroying with his hands rather than gadgets
what was my father Eric Allwright (make up artist) like to work with ?
Mr. Moore
In your opinion who is the best bond actor of all time, and common now we want the truth..
Hi Roger....
I always thought you had the best of English accent of all the Bonds and I became a Bond fan because of you. (Live and Let Die).
What was your favourite bond song in all movies from start till now?
Did you ever give Moneypenny a look at your PPk ??
Dear sir,
i am impresed with the way you handle Electronics, can you really operates all the electronic gadgets that comes your way?
what i dont like is the way you handle women, is it really your passion for women? must you link up with a woman in all your Movies?
Thanks and hope to hear your view.
Oh come on!!!!.....Where's your sense of humor. Bond was a very sexy spy, very dangerous, and the secret dream/fantasy of most normal women.....including Miss Moneypenny! By the way Miss Moneypenny along with Bond was ficticious!! Lighten up!!.
Dear Sir Roger,
I love the entire Bond series and my My favorite Bond movie is "for your eyes only".
My question is this:
Out of all the female characters in the series (both heroines and villianesses) if you had to pick one – who is your favorite female character – one heroine and one villianess?
Thank you for your contribution to this wonderful series and I wish you well in everything you do – especially with this new campaign.
All the best,

Hi Mr Moore,
I was around five or six and still remember your TV acting as Ivanhoo and later seeing you as one of the Mavericks. You were absolutely the guy every one of my friends including myself wanted to be.
You managed to un-stereotype from the Saint to act in many movies before becoming a Bond. In all honesty I think you were too good looking to be a macho Bond and your legs didn’t have the muscle. However you managed to adapt Bond to your physique. What was the most challenging aspect to play as 007?
I admire your integrity and energy to pursue good for people in need!
Regards, GR
Sir Roger,
which Bond girl gave the best kiss?
Dear Sir,
I greatly enjoyed your performance in the film "The Wild Geese" and I think you would agree that the cast alone makes this film worthwhile. Given that, it makes me curious as to your own favorite "non-Bond" role. Would you be willing to share which film you prefer and why?
Thanks
John
Roger Moore not only should carry this campaign against the force feeding of the duck and geesse, but to all animals specially to create conscience on more natural feeding of all types. We should pay more and incentivate third world countries to return to the old practice of feeding.
Sometime we are forgetting how we, the human being, consumed foods in the past. More NATURAL and ORGANIC with all different defects. Quality + quantiy not always is the right solution.
I saw a lot of changes from my past to my present, and I feld a lot of progress, but at the sametime the human being lost a lot more in how we produce thing for the rest of the world.
Hi Mr Moore,,
I grew up watching your Bond and continue to hold your Bond movies in the highest regards.
If however you were to play Bond today, would you have played him differently?
The first James Bond movie my parents gave me permission to see was the Spy Who Loved Me, and still to this day it is my favorite. I admire the comic side of you, and miss that trait in later James Bond characterizations.
Mr. Moore, I know you were a famous actor since the days you played the Saint, but how did becoming James Bond changed you as a person?
Greetings from Panama City!
Guardia, Lisa de La Guardia....
Assuming that James Bond is, through all its movies, quite a male chauvinist type of character, have you ever received any type of criticism from, female equality-, or feminist-, or equal sex rights'-, or transsexual rights' organizations?
Did they present any complaints to you?
Were you ever told that, by choosing such a character, you were in any way personally standing by it?
Did you care to reply and how did you reply?
Hej Roger!
What do you miss the most from acting?
Thanks,
Magnus

What is the greatest challenge facing UNICEF in the 21st Century and why do you think organisations look to celebrities to promote their cause?
Did you used to eat foie gras Sir Moore? And do you think that most people who know how the birds are killed still eat foie gras?
Dear Sir Roger (and congratulations on that, by the way),
Given your travels and work for UNICEF, what local or global initiatives would you like to see people focusing on in their charitable giving or volunteer work?
Thank you.
Do you believe that the current James Bond, Daniel Craig, plays too rough a character with no "mercy", and not so many girls?
Can we have all the Bond actors on one stage sometime. Why don't we do a Bond retro event and give all the Bonds, past and present to do something for charity. Like a World Charity Bond Issue. Bono are you listening? I am sure we could do it here in Dubai, UAE with a little help from our Bond fans and local charities.
Sir Roger Moore,
I applaud your humanity. You've always undertaken wonderful causes throughout your life... quite by accident, you left an indelible memory in both my life and that of my family. We actually bumped into you a few years ago at the Chateau Frontenac in Quebec City. You not only took time to talk to us, along with your wife, but upon arriving at the ground floor, you ran into a wedding party taking pictures and you good naturedly took time aside from your life to also join in on the pictures.
You sir are a shining example of a gentleman – A saint!
Thank you for all that you've done...keep going!
John from Toronto.
p.s. do you still have that lovely white wool winter coat?
MR MOORE
AFTER ALL THIS MOVIESA DO YOU REGRET TO PLAY BOND OR DO YOU PREFER TO BE REMEMBER FOR OTHERS CARACTERS YOY HAD PLAYED IN YOUR CARRER.
AND HOW ABOUT SIMON TEMPLAR YOU DID A GREAT JOB ON THIS CARACTER; BUT MOST OF ALL HOW DO YOU WANT TO BE REMEMBER
JMB
Sir Roger,
I would like to know if you have more engagements planned for Africa (my country Nigeria perhaps) in the near future?
May I add that we were weaned on episodes of THE SAINT & THE PERSUADERS on our domestic TV stations back then, so I know you have a large fan base here.
Congratulations in your current work as UNICEF goodwill ambassador and a happy birthday in advance. (I believe its just two weeks away. God Bless)
Mr. Moore, what's the most unusual thing that's ever happened to you while working on a Bond film?
(You're the BEST Bond, btw!!)
As a man who has aspired to many things in life at your present age of 81 what do you feel is your most crowning / significant achievement in life?
Get a life on campaigning against foie gras. Its a french cultural food, going back centuries – find something better to do with your time.
My question for Roger Moore is: Apart from women, What else would you say is the weak point of the man who keeps decribing himself in this manner: "My name is Bond...James Bond.
Regards.
I was recently in Gers, France wehre they make Foie Gras and at one farm they said they make foie gras without force feeding. Is this so? If so are some farms force feeding just to increase the yield, rather than the taste. If the delicacy requires force feeding to achieve the taste, then the only answer is to do away with the delcacy. If however force feeding is just a yield factor, then it could be banned and just make the delicacy more expensive – less of a problem IMO – easier to implement. Farers should not suffer too much – decreased supply – higher unit cost. However in all cases, sure I like foie gras here and there, but could do without it – there are lots of other wonderful delicacies in France (not just food)!
What do you think of the change in Bond cars?
Mr. Moore
What in the world ever possessed you to be in the movie Boat Trip? That was a really bad movie.
1}Iam really HAPPY I have the name of sir Roger Moore's Mother LILIAN

Question for Mr. Moore:
"In regards to the direction of how James Bond is being portrayed in the more recent 007 films, do you feel the more violent, less humorous Bond is the needed change to capture the younger audience, or is it just a new direction for the 007 character"?
Wheres Q?
Whiteknight,
You have said you would like to play a villain in the Bond movies. Is something like that in the works? Hope you play a nasty one.
Also, are all the Bond actors friendly or at least civil to each other? Tell the truth.
Hugh,
About playing a nasty villain, James Bond works for an intelligence service so you need proper education. Sometimes violence is inevitable, but to have a license to kill means always to be accountable. Everybody has to be civil in the film crew, remember it is a majesty service.
By all means a black James Bond man is possible, Densel Washington played a similar role, be it as a research journalist in the film 'The Pelican Brief', bringing a story of odd financial malversation to the public. There is a black man in the movie 'Matrix part one' team battling public opinion from a space satellite type of location, to bring 'change' in ordinary systems on earth. Many people do not see this film as a service of the queen, but for environmental action karate may come in handy.
It is not film, but CNN has real time motion pictures about climate events. There is to be discovered that earthquakes and tsunami's sometimes can be predicted. Forecasting makes it possible to take precautions. Although the man that provides electronic gadgets in Bond films ( John 'Q' Cleese ) hasn't always a warm and fatherly concern for 007's welfare, there áre scientists that want to help special agents that are diligent and cautious with the materials. So also CNN weather man Guillermo Arduino can take part in Bonds future work.
