Six Degrees: Soros to Maradona

It’s time for “Six Degrees” — our weekly challenge for Connect the World viewers and Web users. [cnn-photo-caption image=http://i2.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2009/SPORT/football/10/07/football.argentina.maradona.worldcup/art.maradona.jpg caption="Maradona's Argentina side have a had a tough campaign."]

Here’s how to play: We choose two people in the news this week and ask you to connect them through the six steps.

The week we’ve chosen billionaire investor, philanthropist and political activist George Soros – who has announced plans to invest up to $1 billion in clean energy technologies to combat climate change – and Diego Maradona, whose Argentina squad finally qualified for the World Cup finals Wednesday after a difficult campaign.

You need to come up with five other people between those two for a total of six links.

Leave your submissions in the comments section below, and the team will pick the most creative connection, and we’ll announce the winner on Friday’s show.

If you want your friends to take the challenge as well, then click the “share post” button below.

MARADONA made an important goal with the help of GODS finger. GOD has his finger in everything going on at EARTH. EARTH is supporting all LIVE here. LIVE went into a SPERM. That sperm travelled into an EGG of a WOMAN, which was the wife of a Mr. Soros. That WOMAN gave birth to little SOROS who became a billionaire, investing in green energy to pay back mother Earth for her gift.

    – Diego Maradona used to be a Carlos Menen (Argentina's former president) follower and admirer.
    – During the Menem's Goverment George Soros opened several shopping malls in Buenos Aires that became one of the symbols of the 90's.

In 2004, Mr. SOROS said that removing President GEORGE W. BUSH from office was one of his main priorities, he donated significant funds to various groups dedicated to defeating the president.

In that year the former US. President delivered a eulogy to RONALD REAGAN at his memorial ceremony in November 2004.

Reagan administration declared US support for Britain and economic sanctions against Argentina in 1982. At the time MARGARET TATCHER was Britain Prime Minister.

The "Iron Lady" was elected in 1979 and resigned in 1990 communicating that decision to QUEEN ELIZABETH II.

The Queen has 4 children and her successor to the throne is PRINCE CHARLES, MARADONA says that we will never shake ends with Charles.

George Sorros has avoided "LIQUIDATION" numerous times in "CURRENCY SPECULATION. Diego Maradona has returned from the dead , both physically as well as comercially numerous times.Argentina qualifying for 2010 "World cup Finals" is as spectacular as his infamous "HAND OF GOD GOAL" against England. George Sorros surviving "Economic apocalypse 2008/09" is as miraculous as his dynamic rise as the World's greatest "Currency speculator".

GEORGE SOROS (b. 1930, Budapest, Hungary) is the most famous of the approximately1000 native speakers of Esperanto in the world.

WILLIAM SHATNER (b. 1931, Montreal, Canada) learned Esperanto to star in the 1965 cult horror film "Incubus" filmed entirely with Esperanto dialogue.

SYLVESTER STALLONE (b. 1946, NYC) shares the distinction with Shatner of having won Razzies for both worst actor & director in the same film – Sly for both Rambo II & Rocky IV in 1985 & Shatner for Star Drek V in 1989.

PELE (b. 1940, Tres Coracoes, Brazil) starred with Stallone in the 1981 film "Escape to Victory" (filmed in Budapest btw). Pele scored a famous bicycle kick goal & Sly saved a penalty kick for the Allied POW team against the Nazis.

BILL CLINTON (b, 1946, Hope, Arkansas) was photographed kicking a soccer ball with Pele during a 1997 visit to Rio, when Pele was serving as Brazil's extraordinary Minister of Sport.

EVO MORALES (b. 1959, Orinoca, Bolivia) indigenous President of Bolivia, met with Bill Clinton during UN summit in 2006.

DIEGO MARADONA (b. 1960, Buenos Aires, Argentina) played in a charity friendly football match (Argentina vs Bolivia) against Evo Morales, an avid player and fan, in 2008 in La Paz to protest FIFA's ban on matches in over 2750 meters above sea level. Morales scored one goal, Maradona three, and they sent the signed ball to Fidel Castro.

P.S. The world is way more connected than six degrees. The challenge is to stretch it out from an easy 3-4 to 6...

P.P.S. I think extra points should be awarded for NOT using reporters/interviewers/talk show hosts/etc or Scientologists.
