It's only the third time that Canada has been lucky enough to host the Olympics and the host cities of Vancouver and Whistler are gearing up for what is promising to be an electrifying games.

The western Canadian cities are expecting an influx of nearly a million visitors, athletes and journalists from around the world during the 17 days of competition.

Unfortunately though, the situation hasn't been perfect.

The security bill for the games has skyrocketed to nearly a billion dollars and the weather is also proving to be a problem for skiers and snowboarders at Cypress Mountain.

Traditionally, the winter Olympic Games are also a much smaller affair compared to their Summer Olympic counterparts - many countries in warmer climates simply don't take part.

We want to know what you think. Are you excited about this year's Winter Olympics? Do you think Canada will do a good job as hosts?
