Little is taboo for Canadian comedian Tom Green.
[cnn-photo-caption image=http://i2.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2010/images/09/06/green.art.gettyimages.jpg caption="Tom Green is your Connector of the Day."]
He has been the man behind a number of notorious TV stunts - on things that have ranged from the weird to the disgusting. Everything from pranks involving livestock to destroying his own father's car - nothing is off-limits for Tom Green.
What makes things even more entertaining is the fact that most of these stunts were for MTV series "The Tom Green Show".
Factor in his outrageous performances in "Freddy Got Fingered," "Road Trip" and "Charlie’s Angels" – in which he co-starred with ex-wife Drew Barrymore– and it’s clear why he's called the King of Shock.
Over the past decade, he’s been invited to guest-host "Saturday Night Live," and he's also been a guest on "The Late Show with David Letterman" and "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno."
Although Green’s been doing stand-up since the age of 15, he’s not just a one trick pony. He’s also earned his stripes as a writer and singer.
In 2004, he wrote an autobiography and in 2005 formed the rap group, "The Keepin’ It Real Crew."
But there is a serious side to this stand-up star. He hosted Canadian Live 8 and made a special television feature about his battle with testicular cancer to raise awareness of the disease.
This year though, Green’s returned to what he does best, with a global stand-up sold-out comedy tour.
Here's your chance to have your questions answered by Tom Green.

I would like to know why you are called a Comedian. Your not funny, actually I find you depressingly boring. I guess it is a Eastern Canadian thing, to say you are amusing. But you are just another Hump.

What was it like working with Rip Torn. Were you afraid he was going to flip out and hurt you. Is your comic vision a lonley place to be at times?

Tom–your show in DC a few weeks ago was phenomenal. You had a terrific way of making social commentary while keeping us all cringing (and laughing). Your message of living life to it's fullest goes beyond simple comedy. Rock on–I'll be a fan of yours forever after seeing you on the live stage. Just stay away from painting my care, dude!
From Ottawa with Love. You are a homegrown weirdo!
Will you ever bring back Organized Rhyme?
Hey Tom,
Just wondering if your planning on putting out another rap cd & doing another tour? I went to one of your shows in London Ontario when Playboy Jeremy Klein was frying eggs in a lazyboy on stage! Enjoying The Channel, keep up the good work. Hope to run into you again sometime...

Tom, how often is your bathtub filled with jelly? What flavor would you prefer to fill it with?
Dear Tom,
For whatever reason, the 4chan community has singled you out and does everything humanly possible to harass you during your show. Your patience during these 4chan raids is incredible. Tell us more about your experiences with the 4chan community and what you think about the internet culture phenomena that seems to have latched itself to your show.
Take it easy
Hey Tom, will you ever do a science fiction movie?
What do you think of Americans overall, as a Canadian?
Will Prankstar be released in theatres or will it be going straight-to-DVD?
I've really admired you over the years Tom for remaining consistent – you never seem to sway away from what matters most to you, in both your comedy and in your personal life. You still have the Ontario-raised kindness and generosity about you too. How have you remained so consistent over the years? Is it ingrained in you, or is it just something you choose to do?
Thanks,
Gray
What was it like being married to E.T ?
Would you ever rap on a beat made by a fan? If so, where can we submit them to you?
Hey Tom, I've been a fan of yours since your show first aired on the Comedy Network here in Canada. All your stuff, from Rogers TV to Tom Green's House Tonight and Prepare for Awesome, is just great.
I know this may be going a bit back now, but I have always wondered what changes you had to make to your show when you transitioned to MTV? Did MTV give you much freedom? Also, did it get harder to make your show once it got popular, with all the people recognizing you?
One more thing, what are your plans in for the future? Will your comedy tour come to Barrie Ont.? Anyways, best of luck in the future, its been awesome to see you do your thing over the past few years.
PS. Is "Tom Green Land" still in Mexico?
opps!
"Prepare of Awesome" is supposed to be his rap CD "Prepare for Impact"
when u gonna star n another film ? freddy got fingered 2
I'm writing from Colorado. Tom, how does your behavior and personality at home in private compare to your public persona?
The question I have for Tom is whether he sees himself building on the tradition of Jack Parr, Hunter S. Thompson, or Jennifer Ringley? I have seen examples of all three on his channel.
The best moments are true to the form:
Parr – Norm Macdonald telling a rehearsed story to and interested Tom.
H.S. Thompson – Tom unsuccessfully mediating hurt feelings of two commedians (Steve-o and Neil Hamburger) as their antics break off the rails.
Ringley – Lonely Tom touchingly opens a Chrismas package from his mother containing chocolate bars and other kind-hearted gifts.
I think the most troubling moments combine two or more of these forms. I would suggest the famous "Monday meltdown" as a cry for help masking as spontaneous edgy entertainment. Tom needs to decide whether he aspires to be an entertainer or an exhibitionist.
I wish you well, Tom.

Hi Tom,
This is Saïd, writing to you from Amsterdam. I was wondering what happened to your masterpiece, 'Tiger Zebra'? Is it still on display somewhere? Did it get auctioned off? I would really like to own a copy or print for my apartment. Much love!
Hi, Tom. I wanted to start off by saying that your humor has brightened many of my darkest days. I love the way you make the mundane absurd and the absurd mundane. Did you ever expect your life to end up the way it is today? What do you do to cheer yourself up during your darkest moments? People say that humor comes from a place of sadness. Do you believe that is true? How do you keep a straight face during your man on the street sketches? Do you think you've pulled a fast one over the entertainment industry by making money and gaining fame from mocking social norms? Is there a great deal of irony to your humor or are you silly for silly's sake? I'm sorry, that's a lot more than one question. If you even answer one of them I'll be grateful. Thanks for taking the time to do this. I hope you come back to New York so I can see your comedy show again.
Tom,
I loved Road Trip, when can we expect to see more movies such as these?

Your show, when it is running, is more mature and interesting most other current, late-night interview shows, the long-form interviews yielding honest and insightful looks at both the guests and the host that are unparalleled in contemporary american late-night.
Do you think advertisers see the market trending increasingly AWAY from traditional broadcast media, and if not, how big do you think the viewership will have to get before major corporations will see no choice but to invest the low-overhead, high-quality content developed by talented, self-motivated narrowcasters? Hi Tom,
I recall the episode of TTGS when your grandmother taught about how to properly brush one's teeth. I learned a lot from that. I've remembered to always brush my tongue too, ever since. My friends and family want to know, "Do you brush your tongue"?
