At just 24-years-old Gemma Arterton achieved one of the most coveted roles in hollywood – A Bond Girl.
The British-born actress starred in the latest James Bond film, "Quantum of Solace," opposite Daniel Craig, and though her character didn't live to see the end of the film, her impression certainly lasted.
Since then she has won roles in a series of high profile hits, including the blockbuster "Prince of Persia?" and the British film Tamara Drewe.
And this month she's been nominated for the BAFTA's "Rising Star" award.
Send them in and don't forget to tell us where you're writing from.
What has been your favorite role so far? And what role would you love to play the most in future?
love u baby. u r awesome in prince of persia. come to india and act in indian films also.
Hi Gemma,
I recently saw you perform in The Master Builder at the Almeida in November. I thought your performance was brilliant and very moving. Your movements were very fluid, almost like a dancer. Do you find the theatre doing live performance more demanding compared to filming a movie? And how do you prepare for a role in theatre compared to a role for a movie?
Kind regards,
Gloria

Dear Gemma,
You seem to have successfully broken the 'Bond Girl' curse before anyone had a chance to label you with the tag! Do you feel the diversity of your work will continue to keep you away from being typecast and are there any genres you'd particularly like to try your hand at?
Thanks!

What did your family and friends say when you told them that you were going to be a Bond girl?
Did you always know you wanted to be an actress? What is the defining quality you have that you think allowed you to make it in the film world?
What is your favorite thing about being a Bond Girl?
Would you marry me?
Quantum of Solace was a truly god-awful film. Did you and the other actors, like Daniel Craig, know it would be that bad when you were on set making it?

Do you think you would fall for a real life James Bond? Show me...
Hi Gemma! You are a beautiful young lady. You also come across as the girl next door. You are a role model to many young girls out there who are aspiring to become actresses. Someone once said that, "A thousand miles begin with a single step." How did you land in Hollywood and what is your philosophy in life. Thanks.

Hi Miss Arterton,
I have a very unusual question for you...
First of all, I LOVE great acting and I appreciate everything around it and all the work that goes into a film.
Secondly, i just want to know whether you can give me any advice on what the best route for someone with zero experience in acting (not even acting classes) is and if you're from South Africa?
I'm a helicopter pilot, but always thought about playing in a film and doing a big role...
It seems to me like people get roles sometimes for their charm alone...or their intimidation characteristics...or their air or romance that they have about them...or even their eyes....
So then I can do it too then? (only my opinion though)
However, I think the biggest question is then : 'How can one stand out from the crowd?'
I would appreciate your advice on this VERY MUCH and would respect the words of wisdom you have for me.
Would love to see you in MUCH more films...
