Meet the Lebanese 'Britney Spears'

She is one of the biggest stars in the Arab world. Likened to Britney Spears – the Beirut-born Nancy Ajram was discovered as a child. By the age of 12 – she'd already won several awards on talent shows. And with the encouragement of her father, she set off on a path to stardom. Now Nancy is using her fame to become an advocate for underprivileged children and three years ago became UNICEF's first female ambassador for the Middle East and North Africa. Hear what Nancy Ajram had to tell Becky.

Stemming the Syrian violence

His father is accused of an atrocity in Syria that left an estimated 20,000 people dead in the city of Hama. The family of Ribal al-Assad has been living in exile since shortly after that massacre. But the cousin of current leader Bashar al-Assad says his side of the family could play a crucial role in helping the nation come together.
