Improbable Reprieve at Iran Gallows

An Iranian man convicted of murder was facing almost certain death. But seconds before his hanging was due to take place, he was offered a reprieve from the unlikeliest source. A photographer was on hand to capture the whole remarkable scene. He tells CNN's Connect the World with Becky Anderson exactly what he witnessed.

Kenyan FM: 'This is al Qaeda'

The deadly attack at Westgate Mall in Nairobi has shocked and affected many not only in Kenya, but around the world. Al-Shabaab, a terrorist group based in Somalia with links to Al Qaeda has claimed responsibility. Kenya has in the past been involved in Somalia to curb the threat of Al-Shabaab, but to no avail.

In this exclusive interview, Kenyan Foreign Minister Amina Mohamed asserts that what happened on Saturday in Nairobi is a continuance of what the world has been fighting since 9/11, and that is the work of Al Qaeda.

Free Syrian Army: We're fighting al Qaeda

Amid the fog of war, the Free Syrian Army is forced to fight both the Assad regime and rebels linked with Al Qaeda.

As time goes on, it has become clear that the conflict in Syria is not clear cut. In this interview, Becky speaks with Adnan Hadad, a Syrian Activist on the Turkish border as well as Louay Almokdad, the political and media coordinator for the Free Syrian Army.

Almokdad makes a fierce statement that the Free Syrian Army has been put in a position where they have to fight the regime and fight terrorist factions such as Al Qaeda and Hezbollah despite pleas for help from Western powers.
